I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN: THE TRAINING GENERAL PLAN, THE TRAINING GENERAL STRATEGY AND THE TRAINING GENERAL POLICY. THANK YOU.

  1. Plan, strategy and policy

    Hi

Every year the L&D person in a company has to produce a training plan – hopefully based on a training needs analysis or clearly identified business needs. Thus, if the company is planning to expand across Europe then the 12 month plan may be to increase cultural awareness of its key staff.

The strategy will refer to something more general – e.g. to ensure the provision of elearning solutions for all staff across all locations.

The policy is a document that refers to the the overall view of the company towards training – e.g. It is policy that all staff, regardless of grade or time in the company will be entitled to a minimum of 20 hours of training a year.

I would recommend you ‘google’ or ‘yahoo’ Training Strategy and Training Policy you will find lots of useful documents produced by various public sector bodies e.g. fire brigade, local council.

    Regards

    Ranjit
