You have been approached by a Senior Vice President to present some fundamentals of time management to his team of District Managers during a virtual meeting. You will have 30 minutes for the program and it will be delivered via LiveMeeting. In digging deeper on the requirements for the presentation, you learn that his District Managers have been struggling with meeting deadlines and delegating smaller tasks to subordinates.
Hello All,
I'm dealing with the following scenario (above) and I am going to have to create a module on Time Management to address this situation. Do you have any ideas of a good exercise that might be useful, quick (15 minutes) and fun!
Thank you for your ideas!

I don’t know if the SVP will like this but……
…I’d suggest that you send out a tick list of "time-bandits" to all the District Managers and get them to prioritise their Time Bandits and then return it to you before the conference call.
This will allow you to
a) address the most common issues during the on-line meeting
b) adress any individual issues off line and privately
This would be a good use of time (ie good time management) as well as getting to people’s own assessment of their own problem rather than the SVPs opinion.
you can find a time bandit tick list at http://www.coach-and-courses.com/page20.htm where you may also find some other useful bits (eg delegating)
I hope this is useful

Hello Rus,
You’re awesome. I really did get the impression that this V.P had dificulty delegating, but I haven’t met this group yet. I like gathering a list of time bandits. Thanks very much. I’m also gonna check out the links you suggested. Best,
Kelly
