Just to set the scene - I am designing a training programme for women in management. It is a 6 day programme (covering image and presentation, assertiveness, networking, communication and influencing) and the section I wondered if anybody could help on is about behaviour and motivation. I plan to cover perception, values, beliefs, and then motivation. So after a discussion of theory I would like to get them thinking how this works in practice at work. I will use a leadership questionnaire about their own style but I wanted some sort of activity they could discuss or do together?
Any suggestions would be welcome
Thanks
Sue

Motivation exercise
Hi Sue
How about getting them to generate two lists:
1. What makes people turn up for work in the morning?
and
2. What makes them work hard when they get there?
Then get them to review the lists and come up with what they as managers can do to provide the environment people need to do more of 2. whilst encouraging them to do 1 too.
Happy to chat about this – my contact details are on my profile page.
