Multicoloured Play Pen Balls to be precise, the sort you get in children’s playpens. Where can you get them from? The only place I have ever see them was in Toys R Us and they came in boxes/bags of about 50. Argos do them, but again in small quantities. My Googles have not been too useful.
I want 500 for a management development programme/exercise I’m doing with several groups of first time managers working for a first tier aircraft unit supplier.
Does anyone know a cheap supplier?

Look for “soft play” materials
Hi Garry
I think this is what you are looking for:
http://www.softset.co.uk/ they sell ball ponds and the balls to go in them.
http://www.playtec.co.uk/frames_infant_to_pre.shtml
http://www.special-needs-kids.co.uk/Toys-soft-play.htm
These are just three of the companies I found doing a search for "soft play" on google.
Hope this helps.

Design of Experiments
It’s for teaching new production managers and Cell Leaders how to conduct Design of Experiment (DOE) processes and then how to record the results under a 5S system: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/5S_(methodology) Hardly Martian. Thanks Jenny
COLOURED PLASTIC ***
Not sure if you have a Home Bargains or a B&M Store, I got some for a ball pool and they were really cheap
Ball pool balls
Hi Gary, My wife & I used to run an indoor adventure playground, and when we close the business we threw out over 10,000 of the things (it was a small put of 12×20 feet). I still have about 1000 if that helps – but getting them to you may be a challenge (they are the full size balls – the "play" ones are slightly smaller!) – we are talking 3 large bin bags…
You can order these by the 500 from any of the "sofyplay" providers. Another option is to go to a local adventure play centre and ask to buy some from their pit – as they do replace/ topup on a regular basis – plus they wont miss 500!
Mike
Thanks
Thanks for this Mike – I’ve gone ahead and ordered the balls now. I’m not sure if the process would work with the bigger balls?
Thanks for the offer Mike, really appreciated.
big balls?
Garry
I used to run an exercise that had similiarities to yours where we used different coloured 6mm BBs!
Maybe this is my problem: I don’t have big enough balls!

balls….
Hi Garry, you can get these in 200, 250, 300 mmm diameters – the "toy" ones tend to be smaller and thinner plastic than the "pro" versions used in play centres.
good luck with your exercise
Out shopping and thought of you …
Hi Garry,
If your order falls through I have just seen some in a (generally) cheapy shop in North Yorkshire – 100 for £5.99. They appaeard to have a couple of thousand.

Paul
