I’d have thought that you may need to do a bit of defining:
Ability or motivation or success
What is the objective of their networking; to sell products, to ‘sell’ ideas/philosophies political viewpoints, to sell themsleves into a job, to sell themselves as self employed suppliers, to gain information (specifc or generic), just for fun (notworking rather than networking).
Restricted networking (eg OBN, OST, LWL) or open networking?
SPQ Gold has a section on the subject of networking for sales purposes that you may find useful but don’t be put off by the name or the delightful title Inhibited Social Contact Initiation Syndrome (ISCIS)!
