Equality and diversity proofing of access arrangements to the learning environment - before, during and after the event or activity is obviously key. Recent stunning research which I cannot put down(!) has produced some interesting case studies such as a Technology College getting their third year female engineering students to revisit feeder schools showing female pupils how to make a ferris wheel. And demographic and social evidence showing how,for example, Indian parents are more likely to motivate their children with homework etc etc.
What would you say has been your most stunning achievement in helping to narrow the achievement gap in either education and/or training? We are proud of our equality and diversity checker covering the nine protected characteristics and beyond.
What have you done? We will put together a free briefing paper in a few months encapsulating all the responses we hope to receive here. Contact me at trainingqed@aol.com if you want to go on the mailing list,
