Accreditation of Soft Skills training

default-16x9

Hi there,

I know there has been some similar posts about this but I've hit a bit of a brick wall.

I'm developing some "telephone/communication skills" modules and also a "handling difficult customers" module for our contact centre and wanted to get them accredited.

I'm struggling to find somewhere with a decent amount of "prestige" to go to with these.

Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Cheers

  1. Accreditation – soft skills

You could also try National Open College Network. We use them for soft skill accreditation, especially around listening skills

    Thanks guys,

I’ve contacted the above and will hopefully be hearing back soon.

    Any more suggestions folks?

  3. Accreditation of soft skills training

I think this can be quite tricky as it’s not just about accreditation but also appropriate measurement of soft skills and a degree of standardisation and less subjectivity. I’m also not convinced one can accredit a "listening skills" course without looking at other soft skills that are intertwined with this skill. You may want to look at Edexcel’s new Effective Behaviour for Work programmes as they are a range of "units" focusing on various aspects of soft skills which can then be contextualised for the learner. They are international qualifications too. You can read more about them here:

and I can help further if you’re interested.

  4. ILM

The Institute of Leadership and Management might be worth a try as you can then use your acreddited sessions to credit towards their more in depth qualifications. This will cost you but not a huge amount.

Contact Tony Pearson at the ILM through their website and tell him that I put you in touch
