Hi TZ peeps,
Do you have any favourite L&D sites that you use?
I'm always looking for free resources, training ideas and that extra bit of inspiration. I've Recently came across Trainer Bubble (Great for Icebreakers, Energisers etc), Bookboon (lots of free E-books) and Get Abstract (Summaries for lots of training books).
Be great to know your thoughts!

Sparking ideas
Hi Adam,
I have to admit that http://www.mindtools.com is a great place for getting basic information which you can then build on, and very easy to navigate. There is also a lot of fantastic material on independent trainers websites – though it is often more through luck that you find them.
In the last year, I’ve found Twitter (closely followed by LinkedIn) is by best source of inspiration and information. You just tweet out what you are looking for and 90% of the time, someone will send a link. OK, sometimes its not exactly what I’m after, but it’s usually interesting, and following links in THAT article can often reveal hidden gems.
Great question by the way!

Inspiring sites
Hi Adam
I like to use appreciative inquiry in training and development. A very good source is the Ai Commons site http://appreciativeinquiry.case.edu/
Re-evaluation counselling is an extraordinarily effective theory and practice with endless applications for design and personal development. The site is http://www.rc.org
You could even try my site http://www.nickheap.co.uk/ It has 250 + free articles, tools and resources about organisation, management and personal development. Please help yourself. You might find this article http://www.nickheap.co.uk/articles.asp?ART_ID=19 about designing learning events useful. It has a couple of worked examples.
Thanks for a useful thread. I’ll certainly look at the links you and others have posted.
Best wishes,
Nick Heap (nickheap43@gmail.com)
One more for the list
http://www.managerspitstop.com is another useful one
I use you tube
Adam,
If you can find the time to sort through the dross to find the gems, You Tube has a mass of excellent material I use for coaching and personal development.
My library of the best of the rest now extends to 350, but it took nearly that number of hours to find, collate and organise, and no exaggeration.
If this helps contact me offline and I will be happy to pass on my learning to short cut your way to the better stuff.

Does anyone have an example they would be willing to share?
Thanks
