Insight’s Discovery Wheel

Howdy Peeps

Does anyone have experience of using this management/personality type model with delegates?

I'm particularly interested in finding out how it can best be used and what results it can achieve.

Also, if there are any exercises that accompany it or work well with it, I'd be intrigued to find out more.

    Hi James,

    I am assuming you are an Accredited Practitioner for delivering the Discovery Profiles? If not, I would counsel that you investigate this avenue as the Accreditation Programme offers everything you are looking for.

    I have worked with the Discovery Profile for about 10 years now and the opportunities and applications are myriad – it is by far the most powerful learning and development partner I have come across – but I would suggest to anyone that without really exploring the uses officially with Insights does not do it justice.

    However if I have misunderstood your post and you are a Practitioner then I have so many wonderful examples and experiences of applying this model – all of them exceptionally successful.

    Hi James,

    I totally understand your reasoning and my only thought is that of all the Personality Profiles and self-understanding tools that are out there Insights is worth every penny anyone spends on it.

    I have, in the past, been accredited for both the Discovery and the Quest for Sales Professionals models – both have brought success in teamwork, communication, customer service, sales growth, margins, and, I would say above all else, a measureable improvement in the atmosphere in our working enviroment. The colours became part of our everyday language, our Sales Executives became experts in adapting their approach to others and connecting with their customers. In trms of sales, the initial outlay for the accreditation showed an ROI within 6 months.

    Insights has had such an impact on me personally, not only in my worklife but socially and in my family life, My two teenage daughters even speak of their teachers in terms of Fiery Red or Earth Green!

    The fact that the whole concept is built around the work of Jung is, for me personally, the solid foundaction for it's authenticity and validity. The other factor that makes me such an advocate for Insights is when comparing it to other popular Profilers it is the only one that does not 'pigeon-hole' people but encourages and emphasises how to adapt your preferred style.

    Seriously, you will not regret your investment.

    Hi there,

    I have experience in learning this and am putting together an introductory training. It is one of the most succinct personality type module I've seen. You can find a lot online, including a test. It may be limiting as it may take time for people to get to know which type they are as I don't think the tests are downloadable. It's very useful in understanding where people are coming from and being more self aware. If you're working with people over time, it is ideal.
