Can anyone recommend a training company that does Facilitation Skills courses / workshops. (how to hold successful meetings) 1 day preferably.

Would a freelancer fit the bill?

You asked for recommendations of a company – is this a requirement or would a freelancer who has experience in this subject area be acceptable (or even preferable if thinking about daily rates?!?)
