Hi everyone,
For the last few years my team has been inward looking in its development, the team have all achieved their certificates in learning and development practice and also working on creating a practical evaluation model for all teh work carried out. We're now at a point where we need to start looking at best practice and current themes in training/L&D to make sure that we're keeping up.
So can anyone recommend conferences/exhibitions happening this year that would help us?
Thanks
Stuart

CPD
Hi Stuart
Keeping up to speed with current best practice is a constant battle and but benchmarking against others is also really important.
There are a few companies that offer free or innexpensicve workshops such as…
http://www.mtalearning.com/
http://www.azesta.co.uk/
I've been to both and can highly recommend.
TheBild and ITOL also have a few events each year.
As for conferences, I persoanlly don't like going any more. Too many people in suits zapping my barcode and calling for the next 6 weeks.
If you or anyone else finds other networking events I would be very interested to ehar about them.
Good luck

If this is your bag it can be a great weekend. Sadly fully booked this year and too late anyway, but think about it for next year.

CIPD L&D Show
Hello Stuart
The CIPD are running their L&D show exhibition starting from 30 April – 1 May 2014. It's free to register – I will be going along and the talks and exhibitor there look very comprehensive.
There is more info here: http://www.cipd.co.uk/events/learning-development-show

Have you Looked at ASTD?
Hi Stuart – are you limited to UK/Europe shows or is traveling to the USA an option? You might want to check out ASTD in Washington DC if you can, it's one of the largest training and L&D shows in the world, and they've got an incredibly large and diverse lineup of speakers, workshops, and info sessions.
