We are a training company and our goal is to keep in touch with our HR contacts in abour 500 companies. We want them to be able to register in our workshops and want to keep track of all our interactions and the events they have registered to.
I thought it was going to be easy to find a CRM with event management capabilities, which were not that expensive... I was wrong. I have searched now for more than a year, no success in finding something like that.
I was wondering how are doing other companies like mine? do you use a CRM? which one? do you have an event management software? can you connect both?
I would really appreciate your comments on this

Have you thought about or looked at SugarCRM? We use it ourselves as well as being SugarCRM's only UK-Based 3-Star Platinum Partner.

You're not alone in your quest to find a CRM package with decent event management. I'm not sure what your budget looks like (expensive means different things to different people) but you might want to check out my company's offering (Administrate).
