I'm interested to understand how you all justify your decisions around training, particularly when employing external companies? Are there metrics that you are required to produce? What about more unusual forms of training that might be considered 'fun' such as improvisation, art, and team-building activities?

it kinda depends on the organisation and the training
some is justified by mandated demand……
some is justified by actual £$ ROI
some is justified by the effect it is perceived to have on engagement
some isn't justified at all beyond the "MD thinks it is a good idea and….."!
