Trainer Tools Podcast ~ 2

default-16x9

JohnTomlinson has posted the second Trainer Tools podcast.

In the second episode of Trainer Tools, I talk to Paul Levy about his “Collusion of Mediocrity” concept.

This is an idea that can be used with both the Consultant and Facilitator aspects of the job, and is about pushing for real change in performance as a result of training interventions. It also has interesting impacts on how we evaluate the impact of training.

  1. Better

This one was much better and Comfort, Stretch, Stress is a a model all trainers should be aware of.

Being aware of where your delegates are and where you want them to be at all times is essential if your course is to bring about change. I agree that comfort is where most training is focused and therefore a waste of time.

I really don't see anything wrong with a well designed feedback sheet. When using multiple (in our case hundreds) of trainers this is a blanket approach that gives an early indication of something being wrong. (or right!)

Pity there was some inappropriate language, not necessary.
