Since my last post, I have spoken to many more trainers and have a good understanding of the pains that trainers have in the creation and execution of training courses. E-Learning boomed, and to be fair is still being used by a lot of training companies, mainly in IT, but you would expect that!
However, it is being admitted that Trainers that a room of nodding "Churchill Dogs" does not promote much confidence when being asked "does everybody understand?"
Ladies and Gentlemen.. Print IS coming back!!.. But some challenges of the creation and Distribution of the material still remain:
Last minute changes - Either due to the course material or the client.
Amounts - It seems that too many items are printed, which is a waste of material and money. Flipside, unsuspected extra numbers goin the course last minute, forcing you to actually need to print extra material in a very short time frame.
Distribution - I have spoken to trainers that have to carry the material around with them! one, even admiteed that he had to carry in in a rucksack while travelling around London!
Quality - Some have admitted that they have reduced the quality of material, only to gain negative feedback on it.
I have shown our solution to more and more training companies and I have had nothing but positive remarks on the ease and control that indivuduals have of creating, sharing, ordering and distribution of the the materials needed.
