It's 76 days till the end of 2015 and I'm anxious. I'm anxious that I have not really learnt anything concrete this year. Yes, I've started learning a lot of things but then stopped. So I'm setting myself a learning goal to improve my elearning development skills. I started developing elearning courses at the beginning of the year and though I can put together a basic course from start to finish, there are still a lot of areas where I can improve. So my learning goal is to go through a series of articles written by the good people at Articulate on their community site, Elearning Heroes. The series of articles is titled, What you need to know to create amazing Elearning. The link is below if you want to have a look:
https://community.articulate.com/articles/what-you-need-to-know-to-create-e-learning
Altogether there are 32 articles which cover:
- Getting started with ELearning
- Planning your course
- Developing your course
- Building interactivity
- Building assessments
- Deploying and measuring your courses
It gets even better, Articulate has written a series of free ebooks which deal with a number of elearning development related topics such as, typography, project management and visual design. You can have a look at the books here:

I will be going through a couple of the ebooks too, although I don't see myself reading all of them before the end of the year. But my goal is that by December 31st, 2015, I will have put together a personal strategy and framework on how to approach elearning projects. Now I am feeling really worried exposing myself, but I think it's a good challenge. So each time I read an article or ebook expect a review on this blog.
Have you learnt anything new this year or are you still in the process of learning it. Why don't you tell us about it?
Or you could join me in this 76 day challenge!
