The Learning Strategy Story – Larry meets the leadership team

default-16x9

Larry was at work early the next morning to review his plan. His meeting with the leadership team was at 10.00. He was a bit nervous, but also felt somewhat confidence about his preparation. The importance of planning and preparation was something he had learned from Brian. He vividly remembered Brian's lecture on why preparation was important reduced to two quotes, "if you fail to plan, you plan to fail" and "proper prior planning prevents pitiable poor performance." Larry laughed at the thought of those statements, but there was a degree of truth in them and he hoped that truth would work for him when he met the leadership team.

At exactly 09.50 he made his way to the meeting room. It was already set up with the laptop and projector already on. He quickly logged into his account and found his presentation. He set it up to be easily accessible when it was his turn. He poured himself a drink of water and sat down close to the front of the room. Five minutes later all the leadership team members walked in. It was as if they had planned their entry. They all came in at the same time. Everyone sat down and went through a round of introductions, more for Larry's benefit, even though he had met all of them already. After the introductions, the CEO looked at Larry and said, "your on Larry, tell us what your plans are."
