A fair amount’s happened…

default-16x9

...in the last couple of weeks. I came back from Morocco, buoyed and refreshed, and ready for a few weeks' good graft in the office and at meetings on the road. And just when I was ready to really buckle down and get some work done under the standard issue grey canopy of a spring day in Bristol, the weather goes and perks itself up. Typical. Obviously my gripes are in jest and the last few days have been superb. There was no need to reminisce about my little break abroad when the weather around the country was equally balmy. It makes a massive difference to the atmosphere not just at work but on the way to and from work and, well, wherever you are really. Bristol in the sunshine is hard to beat.

Last week we had the budget which, from an L&D perspective, left the industry wanting somewhat - the only thing I thought worth remarking on was George Osborne's statement that he wanted Britain to be Europe's 'technology capital' and then going on to state in the same breath that the government would be providing subsidy for wi-fi in 10 cities around the UK. Sorry George, that's not nearly enough. What is this, the 90s? With an increasingly geographically diverse workforce there needs to be wi-fi everywhere. I mean, properly, everywhere.
