Hi All
I am currently delivering a training programme tailored to the childcare sector which gives leadership and small business skills to chilcare professionals.
I am looking to have this accredited, could anyone provide details of suitable bodies and how to go about this or experiences of this?
Thanks in advance for your help.

ILM
One contact would be the Institute for Leadership and Management who can offer accreditation to ‘in-house’ courses. Contact Information Services on 01543 251346
Also try the Management Charter Institute (MCI) in London.
Good luck as accreditation can be hard work!
some suggestions
Thom,
Have a look at the TrainingZONE expert guide ‘How to get your training accredited’ available as a free download at https://www.trainingzone.co.uk/news/expertguides/ .
Also consider contacting the major accrediting bodies such as Edexcel https://www.trainingzone.co.uk/partnerpages/partners/edexcel/ or the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA)http://www.qca.org.uk (the ‘guardian of standards in education and training’)who should be able to provide good advice.
Accreditation
HI Thom…it depends on the level and length of the programme. You could try NCFE who are very user-friendly up here in Newcastle. Or if it’s at a higher level then I could point you in the direction of an HE accreditation service ..like UVAC or OUVS.
Good Luck

ILM
Given the leadership aspects of the training you are delivering, the most flexible accrediting body are the ILM, who have been pioneering in-company accreditation. They make the process very straightforward. We’ve been working with them for a while now and value their Quality Assured Award scheme in particular.

Hi Thom
We’ve used our local Open College Network (OCN)and found them to be most help ful. The national OCN can be found on http://www.nocn.org.uk Good Luck
