Action Learning is offering a strong alternative to traditional academic work-related learning methods, if the new TrainingZONE CPD Business School is anything to go by.
Being able to tailor learning to their own situation, working with the support of others and setting their own agenda for study topics and research is appealing to many, with over 100 HR and training professionals enquiring about CPD Business School programmes since its launch a fortnight ago.
Dr Richard Hale, Director of Action Learning Forums said: "There has been a tremendous level of interest that a number of Training and HR professionals have shown since the launch of the CPD Business School. It is evident that many people are concerned to find a practical and work-based route to CPD qualifications and through the Action Learning Forum approach we have a method that recognises that real learning comes from action. With our online campus we can connect members and faculty globally and they have full access to over 1,300 management journals at their finger-tips."
The CPD Business School has been set up by the International Management Centres Association (IMCA) and the University of Action Learning, both of which have years of delivering action learning programmes - The IMCA are the largest professional Association providing continuing professional development (CPD) through action learning at work. All the programmes are delivered with accreditation from the British Accreditation Council (BAC) in London and, up to and including Masters degree level from the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC) in Washington DC, within ISO 9002 Quality Assurance protocols for operational support.
