Adobe Captivate

default-16x9

Has anybody recieved training on using Adobe Captivate? I am trying to identify potential providers and any first hand experience in being trained in this or how you got upto speed with this rapid authoring software would be appreciated?

One Response

  1. Using Captivate

We invested in Captivate to provide in house training/support on bespoke systems we use for healthcare. It's very easy to use from a video capture/software simulation point of view and since it's from Adobe many of the features are familiar to those who may have used Photoshop etc. The main hurdle is when you need to get the compatibility for reporting. You can make simple easy build quizzes that look great. However you must ensure you have a firm process for naming conventions/information in your preferences and explore the options for how best to access the information you want to gain from user interaction. If you just wanted pretty slides you'd be using Powerpoint!

There are LOTS of good videos and advice from Adobe and the community on their website and the most powerful features do need some support to figure out. But the "out of box" capability of this software is pretty impressive.
