Phillip Slater scooped the jackpot with this entry:
"He's always been prone to exaggerating his personal definition of 'weapon of mass destruction'"
Congratulations Phillip!
When Cherie Blair came clean about all the finer details of her life on Italian TV, she could scarcely have dreamed that she’d also be starring in the TrainingZone relaunch caption competition, giving members a chance to win a hi-tech prize.
Anyone who’s seen 'Who Wants to be a Millionaire?' will know how fun and useful an audience voting system can be in a TV quiz-show environment, but you may not have considered the application of such a device in a training setting? Qwizdom has donated one of its voting systems, worth £1200, for the winner of this month’s special site re-launch caption competition.
The system consists of 12 handsets and easy-to-operate software that can be installed on virtually any laptop and used in conjunction with Power Point to enable all sorts of useful training exercises. Qwizdom is currently used by over 6500 educational establishments in the world including many corporate training teams, working for major brands such as Ferrari, Manchester United and Coca Cola.
The system is also beginning to be used by primary care trusts like NHS South Birmingham, which uses Qwizdom for a number of activities including team training and public information meetings. Nottinghamshire County Council also use its voting capabilities to teach adult learners. The voting system can be used as an ice-breaker to check prior knowledge - a typical use in a corporate training environment. It can be used to pose questions on a huge range of topics from oil rigs to fire safety. Many training teams use it for post-training feedback using rating scales to rate how useful they found their courses. As Qwizdom allows responses to be made anonymously, answers are more likely to be honest.
