2. Membership of ITOL
   Hi Nick,

   I have been a Fellow of ITOL for some three years now and without overstating things can only report excellent benefits from membership. It’s a small investment (attracting tax relief)for a large return in terms of information, resources, marketing and networking opportunities amongst other benefits. Hope this assists your thinking

3. Value of ITOL
   Hi
   I have been with ITOL almost from its birth and was honoured by being made its first Honorary Fellow. To me the principal value it is for people in the Training, Learning and Development profession, separate from the not co-consistent aspects of employment law, recruitment and all the other valuable activities of what still is the ‘Personnel’ function. The web site offers members the opportunity to enter discussions; reviews of relevant publocations; up to the minute avenues available; etc. It now has in Liverpool what is developing into a unique resource library and there is always the opportunity of member meetings, either nationwide or in more discrete groups. Well worth the subscription.

4. ITOL Benefits
   Hi Nick

   I just wanted to add my tuppence-worth to what has been stated – and to agree with it. I’ve been an ITOL member for about two years a definitley think it’s high value for money. The members website probvides a discussion forum, almost daily news updates that bring to my PC news that’s relevant from the wider world of training, tender opportunities and great opportunities for networking. There’s also book reviews, articles and , at the Liverpool offices, a superb library of resources that’s available for all members to visit and use on a reference basis.

   I now know at least a dozen experienced trainers whom I had never met before, and with whom I meet from time to time. I look forward to meeting you too!

5. Hurrah for ITOL!
   As a new member of ITOL I would like to say I have been very impressed with what the Institute has to offer. I was previously a member of CIPD but found as a training professional there was too much emphasis on HR issues for my needs. ITOL focusses more on the issues and information I need for my current position. Add to this that they are based in Liverpool and not London like many of the other organisations – I know I made the right decision by joining!

6. It’s worth It

   Hi there, I have been a member for over a couple of years now and endorse what all my fellow ITOL members have said. It is far more valuable to training professionals than the CIPD.

   Nick,

   I can’t add a lot more to the others’ comments only to say that in over the last couiple of years as a member my experience has been a good and supportive one with an institute dedicated to the training and development field. I found CIPD a lot of money to read about HR which isn’t really where I am. ITOL in comparison is excellent value for money, keeping me up to date and well read and providing recognition of my professional status by an organisation that understands.
