I have worked extensively with a video based assessment process that assesses management competence in 12 areas, but am keen to know whether any other tools / systems / materials exist which do a similar thing. I am working with a client at the moment who is keen to measure managers "current competence" prior to embarking on a development programme (ie to establish a "start point") and whilst I know MAP very well, and know it is tried and tested and works, am curious to explore whether any other system is available that may be more suitable for this particular client.(ie just because I know MAP and know it is good - I also need to do my job properly and see what else is on the market that might be even better !) The system needs to be as objective as possible, therefore typical 360 degree feedback etc is not sufficient for this case - so really a "hard measure of soft skills" is what we need !
