I am writing a selection event for a client and was wondering if anyone out there have something I could use. I have got management games galore BUT my client doesn't want the usual Northgate activities.
The selection event is very branded and I have written all the other elements but am struggling to come up with an exercise that involves individual decision making & group discussion. The exercise does not have to be linked to their business but I would like it to be based around customer service. The skills that I would ideally like to bring out in the exercise are: time management, problem solving, decision making, negotiation, assertiveness, leading a team & presentation. It should last approx 1 hour.
I am sick of ploughing through the usual resources and am braindead now to start to be creative and write them from scratch. Any help from anyone would be great!

Assessment Exercises
Hi Karen,
We run assessment centre events for a variety of clients.
We have recently produced a Portfolio of activities that can be used for developmental or assessment purposes. All activities can be used indoor or outdoor.
The portfolio includes:
Facilitators guide
Task briefs
Exercise debrief tips & hints
Behavioural Competency list
Examples of + & – behaviour indicators relevant to each individual activity.
Assessment record sheets
This enables any facilitator or assessor pick up the brief and run the tasks themselves.
For more information about the individual activites, the Portfolio or our experiences of deliverying assessment and development centres, please drop me a line.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Regards
Lee
