AT&T telecommunications giant to break-up into four new companies

default-16x9

Reports state that AT&T Wireless Board of Directors are looking at a radical restructuring of the company, including looking into a four-way breakup of the telecommunications giant. They would still however be operating under the 'AT&T' brand. AT&T Wireless have become one of the fastest-growing wireless companies in the United States with Broadband being the largest cable TV and services company. This transition has been reported as a good way forward for AT&T and also for their customers as this would open up competition with other corporate telecomm buyers and certainly provide more opportunities for ISP's in general. AT&T believe that this transformation will create a family of four national service providers that will be better equipped to bring about a new generation of broadband communications and information services to their customers. These companies are expected to be able to move faster in meeting customer needs and able to offer a bundle of services through inter-company agreements under a recognised brand name. Companies such as StrategiNet are gearing up towards announcing an alliance with AT&T to re-market AT&T's broadband and internet service.
