Almuth holds an academic post at Birkbeck University of London, where she is Senior Lecturer in Organizational Psychology and Course Director for the MSc in Human Resource Development and Consultancy. Her main research interests span work-life balance, work performance, coaching and training in the workplace. She continues to lead research focused on tangible practical outcomes for a variety of funders, and publishes in the academic and popular press. She is founding member of the Working Groups on Work-life Balance and the ‘Switched on Culture’. Almuth acts as a professional advisor to a number of organisations in her academic capacity and is a regular presence in the media.
