Jon Dean completed a two-year Management Development programme with Inchcape motor franchise retailer group at the beginning of his career before going into sales management within the Land Rover franchise. He made a successful move to motor finance with Chartered Trust (now Black Horse Finance) in the capacity of Area Manager and completed his Finance and Leasing Association (FLA) examinations in commercial and financial practice during his time there.

His first company was a niche provider of ‘soft asset’ leasing establishing a number of high-level agreements with technology vendors who offered their company’s services either directly or through resellers to commercial clients.

After a successful trade sale he subsequently provided advice and consultancy to a small number of businesses before realising that there was a significant gap in the market for high quality, flexible and usable leadership and management training.

He established Impellus in 2008 to meet this need. Impellus is now one of the largest ILM-Approved Training Centres in the UK.
