Sometimes the way inept organisations look after themselves makes me seriously angry.
So the BBC 's Director General is leaving - he didn't wake up one morning not long into a new and significant job and think: 'I know, I will resign today' - no, he has properly taken responsibility for very bad decisions taken on his watch in his current and past positions.
Fair enough on that - but will he really get a year's pay to leave with?
So, by extension, the BBC has set a precedent, anyone now who resigns due to serious wrong doing and/or poor journalism gets a year's salary to soften the blow.
Not a hope, those that make the rules look after themselves, people, and let's never forget it.
It's hard to encourage the growing band of cynics in large organisations that there is a better way when those who make the rules do this again and again and again and...
