default-16x9

Internationally famed British management theorist Meredith Belbin will sort the shapers from the specialists at an event in Manchester in March.

The visiting professor and honorary fellow of Henley Management College has been invited by leading training and recruitment consultancy The Urquhart Partnership to share his expertise at Old Trafford Stadium on 6 March.

Belbin is respected worldwide for identifying nine team roles - namely: the plant, resource investigator, coordinator, shaper, monitor evaluator, teamworker, implementer, completer finisher and specialist - while studying behaviour at Henley Management College in the 1970s.

His characterisations of the strengths and weaknesses of individuals have been adopted globally to improve workplace relationships by everyone from training professionals to Hollywood film directors.

Stephen Seymour, of The Urquhart Partnership in Manchester, said: “It is a real and rare honour to have Meredith Belbin coming to Manchester to share his knowledge on Belbin team and work roles.

“His guidance and insight into workplace relationships are beneficial to team members and team leaders alike and have proved an asset to companies and individuals for a number of decades.

“What he has to say is not worth missing and we hope this rare opportunity will be embraced by all those determined to improve their working behaviour and relationships.”
