Boo again! B2C still unsteady but B2B looks strong

A BBC report suggests that the final quarter of the year could see a further shake-out in the internet business market place.

The report suggests that internet companies are still falling by the wayside as a result of a continuing trend in the sector and uncertainty in the technologies sector in general. It goes on to list a number of firms that have closed or are facing difficulties.

The business to business sector (B2B) however could be bucking the trend. The report says;

If the analysts are to be believed, there is just one sector that still promises hefty growth rates - b2b or business-to-business market places, where companies trade goods and services amongst each other.

Internet users may well be surprised that one of the first high-profile dotcoms to fold, could be re-appearing at the end of the month.

Investors are also believed to be awaiting the publication of results for Yahoo! often seen as a leader in the sector, and typically produces results above expectation.
