I am in the process of making a road map for Business Ettiquette and effective communication skills training, that would contain the pre and post training assignment/activities details. What kind of pre and post training assignments/activities can I use to measure training retention and also provide post training support?

Unfortunately – I’ve got more questions than answers but they may help you nonetheless.
What is the reason for the training?
What are the objectives/learning outcomes required?
What is the ideal following the training – what does excellent performance in this area look, feel and sound like?
Once you are clear on the answers to these questions, you should be able to see ways of measuring it.
For example – if it’s about communication with customers, you may decide to run a customer satisfaction survey around the areas of concern, before and after the training to show how things have improved.
