Business Management Certificate ASET

I have just signed up for the Business Management Certificate (ASET). It is fully government funded, so doesn’t cost me a penny. Has anyone else done this qualification? Was it worth it, is it recognised by prospective employers?

  1. Depends???
    Dear Lisa,
As far as I am aware the ASET Certificate is an additional certificate that you can apply for after successfully completing a programme that the Dept. Ed has approved for its quality.

Thus it depends what the original certificate is as to how prospective employers will value it.

Having trained and assessed on the Certificates and Diplomas in Management from the Institute of Management and Institute of Supervisory Management, I can tell you that the quality of the programme varies greatly with the institution, but that both of these are well regarded by prospective employers, dependent on the level of the job that you are applying for – good for junior and middle management, not so good for senior management where an MBA is still the most highly regarded qualification.

    Regards,
