After spending hours trawling the web for information on good train the trainer courses, I have left myself totally confused! Please would someone out there put me out of my misery and confusion and recommend one for me? I am responsible for providing the end-user IT training at my organisation. I am based in London.

we can help
Hi Beth
I can recommend some courses if you can provide me with more information (i.e. when do you want it, is it for IT Train the Trainer, what is your budget etc?)
Kind regards
Blake
Matrix 42
Let me suggest Matrix 42. They have a programme entitled “ELF” which is standards-based and driven, and much liked by IITT.
I have seen Michelle Mook, one of their trainers, in action recently, and she is good! So good in fact that she has just won the IITT Trainer Of The Year 2006 award!
I have no connection with Matrix 42 other than having seen Michelle in action!
You can find them at http://www.matrix42.co.uk

3 options
The Matchett Group offers a 3 day Train the Trainer course; a 2 day Advanced Train the Trainer course; and a 3 day Train the PC Trainer course. They are extremely popular, so do let me know if you want more info, and I will send it to you. Or you could go to our web site which is: http://www.thematchettgroup.com

Go with IITT
Beth,
I’ve been an IT Trainer for about 8 years and went through the IITT ‘TAP’ accreditation a few years ago. I would highly recommend it, my training has improved no end since I was accredited. It is also the best recognised by the IT Training industry and will stand you in good stead for further jobs etc.
Happy to chat if you want to ask about it, I’m not affiliated to them I’ve just been on a lot of their courses!
Good Luck

Train the IT Trainer
We use the Captita learning 3 day course. I’d highly recommend it.
Astrid
We use Croner Hawksmere
Feedback for this two day event has been excellent, one of the most successful events we currently run, the trainer we use is Rosanne Bernard.
Ideas !!
Depends on what skills you are requiring to develop. Is it the whole package? I would consider using http://www.in-dialouge.co.uk for presentation skills etc – they are excellent and then something around Accelerated learning for skill sets. Leaps and Bounds are good. Catherine Matisky does world wide excellent training in how to ensure things are remembered – her book called learning for results (or similar). I have always found a mix match of skills set is better than one solid delivery. I would expect to use 4 days external and then perhaps one day internal…call me if you want
GBS Training
I can happily recommend GBS Training (www.gbs-training.co.uk) for train the trainer courses. I’ve used them for many years with a variety of companies (financial services/ manufacturing/ public sector) and everyone who has attended has been impressed with their teaching methods and confident in their own ability to apply the learning.
I have absolutely no relationship with GBS other that as a very satisfied customer.

Hi Beth
We’ve placed delegates from various clients on the aforementioned GBS and Capita courses, and can also recommend Parity (for IT), Reed and PTP.
We can provide discounts for any of these options.
Kind regards
Blake
Thank You!
Thank you all very much for your input, I’ll go back and have a closer look at the websites / organisations you’ve recommended.
