CBT evaluation

default-16x9

I would like (on behalf of the NHS) to find an organisation which has evaluated a large number of CBT packages. It is essential that this has been done from a non-commercial (ie honest) point of view.

I believe that the University of Lancaster may have done something like this in the past but apart from them I am at a loss who to contact.

Could you help me? What I have in mind in putting a link on the NHS Education and Training Development Board pages

  1. Evaluation of CBT packages
Try the University for Industry (UFI) http://www.ufiltd.co.ukwho have very ambitious plans to implement CBT and WBT, for up to 200,000 learners.
The UFI have identified “Qualified Suppliers”, who have met the UFI requirements.
I am NOT associated with the UFI and as such this is simply a pointer.

  2. Evaluation of CBT learning materials
I work for a unit of an FE college which has an ADAPT round 3 (Ufi) project to evaluate CBT based learning materials. The project has created an evaluation methodology to do this. Details can be found on our website (http://www.flexiweb.midchesh.ac.ukgo to “Evalution” on the triangle). You will be able to download the methodology from the website. Some evaluations have already been done and are going to be entered in a database that is due to go live shortly. If you are interested in what we have done so far please e-mail me.

The software that we are evaluating is all commercially available software, again if you look at the website you will be able to find the names of the suppliers who’s software we are currently evaluating.

  3. Error on link to Mid-Cheshire College
The link to Mid-Cheshire College has a rogue comma at the end of the URL – delete it to visit the site
