Can someone reccomend a CBT package that reviews Microsoft Office skills and formulates development plans to work towards MOS qualifications?

  1. CBT to review Microsoft Office Skills
You could try NETg’s certification training courses for MOS training. They offer the complete curriculum to cover the following MOS exams: Access, Excel and Excel expert, Word and Word expert,Outlook, Frontpage and PowerPoint. The courseware is split into 16 courses and includes fundamental (beginners), proficient (intermediate) and expert levels ( the expert level is only in Excel and Word). This curriculum has been approved by Microsoft to ensure that you are receiving accurate information and to prepare you for MOS certification exams. You can buy them with one license or a multi user license. They are very good and have pre and post assessment tests and include all the coursework. LearnKey and KeyStone also offer similar materials. NETg comes on 1 CD, which is very easy install. Hope this has helped.

  2. Information on MOS.
Searching for suitable online, or offline Mirosoft Office Specialist Certification courseware can be daunting.

I have enclosed a link to an information page we supply to all potential MOS students.

Feel free to download a copy.

I would agree with Amanda that NETg do provide a comprehensive MOS CBT certification package. It does however go further as it is aimed at providing an individual the ability to progress to Expert Level in Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook. So if you are looking to proceed as a trainer you have all the training requirements needed for the new MOS MCT requirements.

The Netg course provides more than you need for the MOS Master Certifcation that is needed.

Because each course develops from Fundamentals, intermediate and Expert your requirement to formulate a developmnent plan is negated by the fact that you are required to master each level before proceeding to a higher level.

Having extensive experience of NETg software, I have found that most CBT matches or even outshines the NETg courseware in presentation but theit SkillBuilder software ensures that you understand what you are learning as opposed to just learning the answers to the questions. The precision learning track works extremely well in the fact that the pre-test does take waht you already know out of the training and adjusts the course to what you need to learn.

I run a Distance Learning company both for Individuals and Business and we do use the NETg CBT because we know that our students understand what they have learnt. Having spent the last three years researching this I have found that the quality of CBT has been greatly enhanced and that all vendor approved MOS courses provide equal, if not better presentation but they always fall down on the testing. To pass the exam you need to know what you are doing.

I am most happy to discuss any other comments in relation to the above
