Charity Learning Awards winners announced

The winners of the first Charity Learning Awards were announced at the Charity Learning Awards in London.

Children's charity Barnardo's won best overall elearning programme, while United Response, which works for people with learning disabilities, scooped the best means of engaging your audience award. WRVS, a charity which helps older people, won the getting started, or restarted, on your elearning journey award.  

Lisa Johnson, assistant diretor of information services (learning and communication) at Barnardos, said, "We are absloutely overjoyed to receive the award which recognises the work of the whole team."

One of the award judges said: "I've evaluated many different types of award entries over the years, but these were without doubt the most inspiring."

Martin Baker, chief executive of the Charity Learning Consortium, added: "It has been the most phenomenal journey to get to the point where we could launch our first awards and conference. I feel immensely proud of the great consortium team that has made this possible, and of all our charity members, who really are an inspiration."
