Collaborate 98 – a virtual conference about virtual teams

Although this conference, run by the Organisational Development Network has now closed (it ran last September) its another fascinating example of how online learing and conferencing is allowing people to engage in debate and discussion without moving away from their work. They can choose how much (or how little) they wish to participate. Check the virtual conference website for a list of delegates, papers, discussions and reports.

"Collaborate '98 was a three week virtual conference designed to explore the intersection of technology, individual and organizational behaviors, and work processes in the formation and development of high performing virtual teams. Collaborate '98 engaged organization development practitioners, human resource professionals, academics, managers, students, and a variety of other individuals interested in virtual collaboration. Over 450 participants gathered from 19 countries."
