SkillSoft International - the UK web-based management and business e-learning company - has launched a unique Course Customisation Toolkit (CCT) which allows customers to comprehensively tailor SkillSoft's courses to meet the specific needs of their organisations.
Kevin Young, Managing Director of SkillSoft International said: "We developed the Course Customisation Toolkit in response to requests from our customers, who wanted to be able to provide their staff with a more branded training solution - incorporating elements unique to their own working environment.
"The CCT enables organisations to include their own logos, text, illustrations, case studies and examples within any SkillSoft course. There are over 40 different template types available, each of which is based on proven instructional design research. These include explanatory or exploratory pages, multiple choice versions, short answer questions, case studies, simulated dialogues and RolePlay models.
"As well as adding their own date and organisation-specific information, companies can even tailor content by combining courses, topics or learning objects."
Any tailored courses will automatically incorporate all the instructional and web-deployment strengths of SkillSoft's training system. This means that, in addition to being company specific, the training will be fully interactive, with application simulations, assessments and audio narration included.
Although SkillSoft will be providing set up training and support to organisations using the CCT, no programming expertise is necessary. It's quick and easy to use and, in a few simple steps, users can select a template, add their own text, illustrations and audio, copy and paste topics from other modules, preview - and then publish their own organisation-specific training course.
The groundbreaking toolkit further establishes SkillSoft as the UK's leading web-based management and business training provider. The company already has the largest web-based management and business library in the industry - containing more than 350 courses - and has also transformed the evaluation and measurement process through its SkillPort e-learning portal and learner management system - which automatically tracks individual user progress through courses or a selected curriculum.
