I'm designing a workshop which will have an exercise where senior management will create a company vision/mission statement. I'm aware that one benefit of having such a statement which is communicated cleary and peope are engaged with is shared clarity around what the team is going to focus on and accomplish.
However, I am on the look out for more information around further benefits and perhaps evidence of where successfully implemented vision statements have deivered tangible business improvements.
A short video on this topic would prove useful. Can anyone offer any suggestions?
Many thanks

Why Not Try
Hi Craig,
I use exactly the DVD that you’re looking for – though you’ll only need a 3 minute segment of the main film and two of the case studies…
It’s called The Balanced Scorecard: Inside Organisations.
Its a US publication made by Tangent, though I’m afraid I’ve lost the outer casing with the reference numbers on it.
All the best,
Megan
Joel Barker – Power of Vision
this might be a nice intro as it looks at successful visions etc
50 Lessons
A great source of short video content of leading CEOs speaking on a wide range of topics derived from the lessons they learned from their personal experience, is “50 Lessons”:
http://www.50lessons.com/welcome.asp
Originally intended for individual/corporate subscription licencing, they do appear to offer options to show clips in the classroom, but you’ll need to contact them to find out more.
If you click on the Quick Search button and enter the term “vision”, you’ll see a number of “hits” that would appear to directly address the need you have.
Example
A very good example of what it should look like is Ben & Jerry’s.
it is painted on the wall of ever site.
