We have 'standard' task oriented JDs but are looking at going for ISO9001 and must therefore bring in competencies. Anyone know where there might be a resource for drafting such things?

Any suggestions
I am about to embark on the same task, putting together competencies within the organisation, and would be grateful for any suggestions on this as I am aware of the mammoth task ahead of me.
Admin & support staff

Designer’s Edge software
If you are not experienced in instructional design, then you might want to look at a software called ‘Designer’s Edge’ (visit their website for details), which reduces the process into a series of steps and helps you create appropriate documentation. Alternatively, you might want to consider using the DACUM process, which offers a very fast way of providing a detailed occupational analysis -again, details of the DACUM process can be found on the internet or I’d be happy to send you a general summary of the process. The DACUM process is very popular in North America and is widely used in instructional design; I’ve used it for around 100 occupational analyses and find it excellent.

Performance Measurment will do it
If competency profiling does not satisfy the ISO requirements, you may need to construct Performance Measures.
Performance Measurements documents the required tasks, tools, skills, and competencies that are needed to complete a job at superior level. It is then used to determine individuals’ gaps and needs for training and Development.
It will then be easy, to use those tasks to describe a job for other purposes.
I have never used Performance Measurements for ISO as it is not my area of interest. But with little I know about ISO, I think it should do it.
Performance Measurement is new a concept that combined recognized theories and concepts of two fields of studies, Human Resource Development, and Management
