Research conducted also found that 65% of managers believed that IT-illiterate bosses risked losing out to junior colleagues because of their better understanding of IT.
50% of staff interviewed stated that their senior managers had a fear of IT and were unable to use basic systems such as e-mailing facilities.
Directors who do not have IT skills should face the challenge of getting to grips with IT, rather than passing it back to their sub-ordinates.
