I am looking to identify an L&D provider who offers workshops to school leavers (post A level). The brief would be to build confidence, give them some insights on personal presentation and image and interview technique. It's a kind of a niche request but I'd be grateful for any recommendations.

Happy to help
Hi Sally
When I was a governor at my son’s school I used to go in to school and run sessions on just this sort of thing, so I would be happy to help. I am a freelance training consultant with broad experience in personal development.
You could send me a private message via my profile page or, if that doesn’t work, leave a message here and I will respond with my email address (I am not sure if forum rules allow that?).
Look forward to hearing from you.

Great Project
Hi Sally
This sounds like a great project. My colleague and I would be interested in helping. We both have experience in recruiting, assessing, developing and supporting apprentices, trainees and graduates. We have also both managed, designed and delivered a talent programme which focused on junior levels within an organisation which may also be relevant. A key part of this was observing the delegates, providing feedback and discussing and agreeing their personal development plan. We also have a wealth of experience in working with groups and individuals on personal development, utilising a variety of workshops, tools and discussion.
We would be interested in finding out more about your project and exploring whether our experience and expertise could add value and deliver what you are looking for. If you feel that our experience matches what you are looking for then we would be delighted to hear from you. Happy for you to send a private message or I can provide my email if required.
Many thanks
Rosanne
Voluntary
Hi Sally
I used to volunteer to do this and go to a school with various other people from local businesses and interview the students as if it were a real life job.
Feedback would then be given to their regular tutor who would have a 1 to 1 with them to discuss areas for improvement.
Internet jobsites such as Monster have lots of free content on interview techniques. Chamber of Commerce or Round Table would also be a good source of free interviewers.
Good luck
Steve
Confidence Building & Interview Techniques for School Leavers
Hello Sally
I believe this type of provision is more important than ever before given the current jobs market for young people.
I am a freelance L&D consultant with some very relevant experience that you might find uesful. In particular I spent four years working in a large FE College on a split contact. Half of my time was spent with local businesses designing and delivering a wide range of training courses from apprentices to directors whilst the other half was lecturer and mentor to A Level students on vocational courses. This included learning sessions on how to best present at interview; understanding interview techniques from the interviewers perspective and how to deal with them; equipping themselves with sound information through basic research into a prospective employers and tailor-making CV’s. Other relevant experience is:
In-depth experience in recruiting young people as a senior manager with leading organisations.
Enthusiastic and experienced deliverer of training courses at apprentice/trainee level for entry to employment.
Please feel free to contact me if you feel my background and experience would be useful.

Bespoke Workshop Design/Delivery
Hi Sally,
We’d love the opportunity to help – As part of my personal development company, Potential Unearthed, one of the areas we are able to help with is the bespoke design and delivery of workshops of any length/size around some of the key skills you mention including:-
– Assertiveness & Confidence Building; Interview Techniques, Presentation Skills (-for the beginner) and Personal Image/Perception.
All of our sessions are designed with practical tried and tested methods and tools in mind, so that participants always leave with tangible skills that they can utilise straight away AND we also build the sessions with our target audience in mind. This age group in particular will obviously tap into and feed off a particular training style and this is where our expertise lies – no stuffy strict classroom style learning but a fun, relevant and relaxed approach to encourage the right atmosphere for open learning.
Feel free to private message me for more information or take a look at my website (www.potentialunearthed.co.uk) for more about our style and what we have to offer.
Thanks
Sarah, Potential Unearthed Ltd.
