copying toolbar icons

default-16x9

Also I used to have a very handy font called keycaps which enabled me to insert images of keys on the keyboard into my manuals (e.g. Page Up/Page Down keys etc) but it disappeared when my PC was upgraded.

Is this available free anywhere or something similar on the web or would I need to purchase it.

Alt Print screen will copy the screen image to the clipboard – you can then paste it into either word or paint if you need to edit.

Can’t help with the keys I’m sorry.

I have found a keycaps font.

If you send me your e-mail I can attach the font for you.
You will then need to copy it into your fonts folder in windows.

    Hope this helps

  3. Keycaps fonts and copying/pasting icons
You can download keycaps fonts from varous Internet sites such as http://www.filelibrary.com/Contents/Multi-Platform/100/29.html

To copy and paste screen icons or any other PART of the screen display the only method I am aware of is to use a screen capture utility. I use Capture Express which is an excellent utility and a bargain at only £12. There are several shareware and freeware programs of this type available for download from many Internet sites.

http://www.qarbon.com provide a product called Viewlet Builder that enables screen capture. You can set the resolution and include the cursor at the icon, in its natural toolbar environment, which is not included in a print screen.

You do, however, need a fast machine for anything other than a static image, since Qarbon captures at 24 fps.

Once you have your Viewlet Builder image on-screen, then PrintScreen (forget Alt – unnecessary) and crop in Word.

This sounds more complex than it is, believe me.
