I am looking for some new time managment games/case studies for a new client. The company are very fast moving and lively so I really want to move away from the traditional TM courses! Can anyone help?

Esprit de Corps in assocaition with Best Year Yet
You may already know about Best Year Yet workshops, but you may not have encountered the Esprit de Corps programme. We offer tailor-made packages designed to your client’s needs but as a part of a contextual experience which involves sailing. It’s safe, it’s fun and it’s an unforgettable experience.
The sailing experience helps break down limiting paradigms, focus on core tasks and consolidate lessons learnt.
We are running trial orientation days in March, April and May for which there are limited places still available. These places are offered at discretionary rates for trainers and HR managers. Call Susannah Shakerley at Esprit de Corps on 01273 452372 for more info. Fax 01273 441336.
Coping Under Pressure versus Managing Time
Hi Jo.
It’s a big topic and one which seems to generate a lot of confused misinformation. There is a difference between Coping Under Pressure and the more measured response of actually Managing Time.
A good structure for covering the issue is to begin with a manic exercise like Headless Chickens, to emphasise the importance of prioritising tasks. This usually leads into productive discussion, in which the key principles of genuine TM can be explored.
It’s useful then to allow participants to practise implementing these ideas with another time-pressured activity in which they must step back from the situation and develop a rational optimisation strategy. My Mission Implausible usually generates some excitement.
I think the important thing is structure; and to emphasise that there is no one True Way: everyone must find a system which works for them.

Best of luck!
