I'm looking for a course for one of my employees who has difficulties dealing with different cultures, especially Japanese and French clients.
I need to find something that will help her diagnose and bridge cultural difference in a variety of business situations.
If any one can recommend a course I would be very grateful.
kind regards,

Cross cultural competency
Dear Vanessa,
We run a lot of these courses, primarily for companies that are pan-european, and have cross cultural difficulties in teams.
However, it looks like you you are looking for an open course, so might I suggest you try giving Farnham and (I think) the Centre For Cross Cultural Studies a ring – the CIPD should have the number.
It may be though that you are looking at a beliefs issue rather than a cross cultural one, and if you’d like to discuss this, I may be able to give you some pointers.

Cross cultural training
Keith’s advice is excellent. You may also be helped by a recent article about a book called Intercultural Services: A worldwide buyers guide and sourcebook.
Happy hunting!

cross cultural training
I would recommend you contact Richard Lowe at Worldwork (020 7486 9844). They work in the area of developing people to work cross culturally and work at both individual and group level. They also have a very useful questionnaire which I believe is unique in that it is designed to specifically diagnose an individuals potential strengths and development needs in relation to cross cultural work.
