Culture at the Crossroads

default-16x9

In the face of rapid changes in the global economy and the increased complexity of the modern work-place, educational institutions are having to redefine themselves in the light of technological advances and the demands of students and employers. Employers are insisting that their employees continue to learn and adapt, and individuals are seeking new approaches to personal and professional development.

These and related issues will be addressed at a conference on Technological Education and National Development (TEND), to be held in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, between 8 and 10 April 2000.

TrainingZONE topic expert, Graham Guest, will be conducting an interactive workshop on the theme Culture at the Crossroads, based on his paper Lifelong Learning for the Global Networked Society.

More information about TEND 2000 is available at http://www.hct.ac.aeor from Graham Guest ([email protected]).
