I am reviewing the market of OD diagnostics and am particularly interested in culture and values survey tools.
does anyone know of any, whether you have used them or not?

Nine Factors Survey
There’s the Nine Factors Survey that I came across in the following book:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0273639846/qid%3D1148406775/202-7902537-3019033
There’s an article at the following link that tells you a bit more about it.
http://www.iqa.org/publication/c4-1-85.shtml
Or you can visit their web site at:
http://www.9factors.com/index.php
Hope this helps.
Cultural Inventory
I have used the output from an instrument called the Occupational Cultural Inventory(OCI) which allows surveys of current and desired culture. The output can then be reported in a variety of narrative and graphical reports. Very comprehensive but needs to be run by a qualified practitioner. I work with a qualified associate whom I can put you in touch with. Equally, if you want to design your own survey I have another associate who is able to deploy the survey in different ways and produce the analysis.
Please either email me or call on 07921 072 020 if you would like to discuss further.
it’s more complex than a model or survey
I recommend a useful article about organisational culture and approaches to change
http://www.new-paradigm.co.uk/culture-complex.htm
Worth a read before you start on the diagnostics and even more useful before commissioning an intervention

Simple culture survey or strategic tool?
Hi
There are a number of tools available on the market depending upon your need.
These include:
The creatrix (www.creatrix.com) This is a culture diagnostic focusing on Innovation as the primary driver. This tool helps to build the innovative capacity of an individual/ team or organisation. This is based upon the culture of the organisation and includes concepts for OD actions.
The BIR (Business Improvement Review) (www.rapidbi.com) is a strategic diagnostic tool which looks at culture, processes and capabilities. This uses an organisational 360 approach. This is a high level instrument & process which encompasses EFQM (9 factor) and IiP methodologies. Available in 2 versions – HR only or whole operations.
The CCQ (Corporate Culture Questionnaire) (www.shl.co.uk) is a limited range culture (and now dated) survey tool. Worth a look.
The DOC (Diagnosing Organisational Culture)(pfeiffer publication) this is a narrow range tool looking at the management style and culture of an organisation. Pen & paper tool should be available through Pfieffer suppliers.
The type of tool or strategy you are looking for will vary with your intended outputs and goals.
I have used all of these instruments over the years & will talk to you about approaches if you would like more info

Organisational culture surveys
Hi
As an update Pfeiffer
also do a pack called “values cards” which is a great way of looking at organisational values.
The bir has recently been updated to enable not only the culture to be ‘measured’ but re-measured to show growth and culture change easily and graphically output samples
The Creatrix/ also provides an excellent way to look at innovative culture in an organisation.
The DOC, CCQ and Dennison tools all also have their place in assessing organisational culture.
