Daring To Be Different

default-16x9

I have been intrigued with the success of the Spanish soccer team over the last few years and throughout their recent successful Euro 2012 campaign.

For those non football fans, Spain dare to be different and play without recognised strikers, whilst other teams still line up in the conventional format of goalkeeper, defenders, midfielders and strikers.
This got me thinking...most organisations form themselves around the conventional structure of directors, senior managers, managers, supervisors and staff.
But there must be some that are daring to be different? What examples have you come across, of organisations breaking the old patterns and establishing new, exciting and winning formulas like Spain's national football team?
