Welcome back to the Rise & Shine blog.
I'm now co-hosting a show on Redshift Radio called Kick Start, with my co-presenter Emma Foden from Dynamic Fitness.
The show is dedicated to helping people with their goals & dreams and we'd like as many of you as possible to get in touch via the website each week.

I'm taking a trip down memory lane this week to get you started off.
Who remembers tuning in to the popular TV show Record Breakers, and perhaps even singing along to the theme tune?
"If you want to be the best and you want to beat the rest, dedication is what you need..."
Record Breakers
When you look back at Record Breakers, it's easy to think that it was just about people breaking records! Afterall, week after week, that's what you (and I) saw on the TV.
However, if you look a little further or deeper you can see that those people attempting to break records, had indeed dedicated themselves to their chosen sport or discipline.
This is true in life and can be applied to everything you do.
Compare the results you have achieved when you've dedicated yourself to something; versus the times when you've just had a go or turned up. I'm sure you'll agree; the difference is huge!
There are many examples that you could relate to and I'd like to share one from the world of athletics.
Most people are familiar with the name Usain Bolt: The fastest man on earth
Usain Bolt doesn't just turn up and run in the final of the Olympic 100 metres. He dedicates himself to his discipline and practises by running his Olympic Final race many times before the actual event.
Studies also show that top performers in sport, business and life dedicate time to their discipline ('running their race') mentally as well as physically.
How many of you are dedicating time to your life?
By reading the Rise & Shine blog every week I would say that you're already on the way.
I encourage the people to do 1 thing each day which will take you closer to your dreams & goals. Imagine where you'll be in 365 days time...because if it's achievable, it's possible
I'd like to leave you with one final thought this week;
Lord Seb Coe writes:
"Passion is the difference between winning and losing...You need to wake up in the morning and feel it - otherwise you'll always be mediocre"
Knowing that you're not mediocre, what will you be dedicating yourself to this week that will take you 7 steps closer to your dreams & goals?
Have a great week and I'll be back next week sharing more
Regards
Jeff
